Last Chance
(Pairing: Rarity x Spike)
A purple dragon, now no longer a baby, stood on the balcony of Twilight Sparkle's library. Spike had grown up from the little dragon he once was to one that was taller than a pony, had spines running down his back, and had a fiercer face.
However, he was still the lovable and somewhat sarcastic Spike that everyone in Ponyville knew. He took a deep breath, and looked out at the town. It had been his home for several years now, and he was pretty sure he knew practically everypony in town.
But there was one pony who stood out from the rest of them, and that was the pretty white unicorn who worked at the
Libraries are supposed to be typically quiet places. However, Twilight Sparkle's library had always been anything but quiet.
Especially now.
"It's your anniversary today! Today! One year since you came to Ponyville, hurray! Hurray! It's been a super duper awesome time so far! So far! And that's cause you're Ponyville's super duper spectacular shining STAR!" Pinkie Pie sang, twirling around Twilight Sparkle's library in her usual fashion.
Around her, ponies stamped their hooves on the ground in approval while Twilight Sparkle gave her friend a bright smile.
"Thank you, Pinkie Pie," she said to the pink earth pony, who was already halfway t
"I am telling you! We cannot have this dress by Elsa Shireparelli in the same photo as a piece by Carmargcoco Chanel!" Hoity Toity all but yelled (as fashionable ponies such as himself should hardly ever shout), glaring at the photographer in front of him. "It is... It is simply unheard of!"
"And I, Photo Finish, am telling you that zee contrast between zis dress and zis handbag is going to be... Spectacular!" the blue mare fired back, her voice thick with her accent, as well as annoyance at this intruder in her creative process.
The two were having a rather intense stare-down (as intense as it can be behind sunglasses) in the middle of Pho
He knew that he was in for a full day of plowing the fields tomorrow.
He knew that he should be at home, sleeping and resting.
But he also knew that he wouldn't want to miss this for anything.
Big Macintosh and Twilight Sparkle were on a hill outside of Ponyville, sitting on top of a blanket with Twilight's telescope set up nearby. A small lantern nearby provided them a little light, just enough to illuminate a book Twilight had about stars. They were doing one of Twilight's (and his, actually) favorite things: star-gazing. She had heard there was going to be a meteor shower that night, and wanted to be sure to catch it.
"And that one up
Twilight Sparkle walked up to the Apple family home overlooking Sweet Apple Acres. She had gotten a letter from Big Macintosh asking her to come to their house at a certain time of the day, and not to tell anypony else. The purple unicorn wondered why he had done so, but decided paying a visit to the quiet stallion would be good after the craziness a few days ago that involved her tardy letter to Princess Celestia.
She knocked on the door and heard a crash sounding from within, followed by the sound of Big Macintosh saying "ow."
"Is everything okay in there, Big Macintosh?" she called out, raising an eyebrow at the door in front of her. She

The sun shone brightly on another day in Ponyville, where everyone was going about their business.
Pinkie Pie was bouncing about town, delivering invitations (and the occasional cupcake).
Rarity was working on another dress for a client, sewing on more jewels to make it (in her words) "utterly fabulous, darling!"
Fluttershy had taken it upon herself to help a family of squirrels move their stash of food from inside the tree on the right side of the road to the tree on the left side of the road.
Rainbow Dash was somewhere in th
